Abstract: Good meeting outcomes don't just happen by chance, someone needs to take the time to create the environment in which they can occur. That means preparation, which is one of the most important and overlooked jobs of the Facilitator. Jean Tabaka in 'Collaboration Explained' would use the rule of thumb of taking twice the length of the meeting to prepare for it. Time invested in preparing for a session, will help you as the facilitator guide an engaged group to effectively meet their meeting outcomes.
This workshop will present some useful tools and techniques, including the 'Facilitation Canvas', to help you effectively plan for your session; so come along and get set to 'Pair' and 'Prepare' your way to successful facilitation.
